We recently announced that Cathy Brothers will be joining Capacity Waterloo Region in February as our Executive-Director-in-Residence, playing a lead role in shaping a one-of-a-kind program that we expect will be a model for other communities. We're delighted, and judging from the many emails we've received, the community is really excited too and looking forward to having Cathy on board.

Cathy will continue as CEO of Mosaic Counselling and Family Services (formerly Catholic Family Counselling Centre) until mid-February. She brings a remarkable passion for social change and a wealth of leadership experience to her new role as advisor to our region's non-profits and social ventures. She has successfully managed many challenges within the non-profit sector and has earned the respect of colleagues for working across sectors and taking risks to achieve social innovation, including pioneering the Family Violence Project which is a first in Canada.
