Call for Proposals from the Status of Women's Program

The Government of Canada has launched a new call for proposals under the "Opening Doors: Economic Opportunities for Women" component of the Status of Women's Program.

Funding applications will be accepted for the call for proposals, in three thematic areas:


1. Advancing Women in Non-Traditional Occupations;
2. Increasing Economic Options for Women; and

Ottawa, ON, March 21, 2013 - Today's budget, introduced by The Honourable James Flaherty, Minister of Finance, delivers real support for Canada's charities, responding to the Finance Committee's report, Tax Incentives for Charitable Giving.

Congratulations to class of 2012 on completing the Manulife Board Governance Boot-Camp!

On March 1, 2013, forty-two Executive Directors and Board Chairs from twenty organizations participated in the final session of the Manulife Board Governance Boot-Camp.  This is the fourth cohort of our Board Governance Boot Camp, which includes 140 alumni.

The follow-up session was led by board governance experts, Steve Farlow, Fred Galloway and Don McCreesh.  The 2013 Manulife Board Governance Boot-Camp is scheduled for November 21st, 22nd & 23rd at the Waterloo Region Museum.
